The
apartment is
on the first floor of one of three small blocks of apartments known as Les
Chalets de Mairie. They are styled in a traditional way and clad in
stone and timber. The block in which the apartment is situated was
completed in late 2007 and built by local contractors to a high
standard.
The apartments are located adjacent to the main road between La Chapelle d'Abondance
and Châtel in the Abondance valley.
The Apartment
The
apartment is
fully furnished in a contemporary style and equipped to a high standard, offering
excellent value to those who wish to rent a self-catering apartment. The
well designed 39m² consists of:
Entrance lobby with space for hanging coats;
Sleeping area with bunk beds which is separated from the
lobby and the rest of the apartment;
A light, airy living, dining and kitchen area;
A south facing balcony with stunning views along the valley;
A well proportioned double bedroom;
A shower room with a toilet, basin and large walk in shower.
In addition,
the apartment benefits from:
A good size ski/boot locker on the ground floor;
Outside parking spaces.
Please note,
smoking or pets are not allowed in the apartment.
The modern
fully fitted kitchen includes an oven, electric hob, microwave, dishwasher,
kettle and sandwich maker and is well supplied with utensils, crockery and
cutlery.
The living
and dining area contains a good size dining table with 4 chairs, a 3 seat
sofa and separate chair, a flat screen LCD TV, a DVD/CD/Radio player with a
selection of DVD’s, CD’s, games and books.
A
washing machine is located in the bathroom and a drying rack, iron, ironing
board and hairdryer are also provided.
Local amenities
There is a
small grocery store approximately 600m towards La Chapelle d’Abondance and a
larger supermarket (Intermarche) 5 minutes drive in the direction of Châtel
and the Linga ski lift.
A number of
restaurants and bars are located within walking distance or within a short
drive in La Chapelle d’Abondance and Châtel. Châtel provides a large
selection of restaurants and bars to suit all tastes and budgets as well as
two cinemas, a discothèque, various relaxation/well-being salons and shops.

All bedding, bed linen and towels, including those for the
kitchen, along with end of stay laundry and end of stay cleaning;
Dishwasher
tablets, washing up liquid, washing powder and fabric softener, soap,
toilet rolls, bin bags and cleaning equipment and
fluids.
A “Welcome Hamper” with bread, butter, jam, milk, tea, coffee
and sugar (if you have any special requirements please identify them when
booking and we will try to facilitate e.g. Soya milk instead of cows milk).
A useful
information pack will be provided either electronically or by post when
your booking has been confirmed and the deposit received.
